Upcycled mobile phone box

Hello people

It's been a quiet long time since I posted here, not because I wasn't into crafting. I was very much into crafting. But couldn't find enough time to post them. I shall be posting all of them in coming days.

Today, I am sharing my work on upcycling a mobile phone box. I saw my friend Sindhu doing it. I was pretty much impressed with the idea. Also, I felt that I can start off my contribution to reduce trash.

Here is what I did...

I wrapped the box with the pattern paper from Papericious and spray painted it.I used the dies from Sizzix (my cousin sent it from USA) and Intricutz.. Stamped the baby. The stamp is from Itsy Bitsy.

I totally love the output. I shall be using this box to store my daughter's accessories.

Hope you liked this project. Also, I hope everyone of us would involve in reusing and recycling things so that we can minimize our trash.

Happy crafting..!!

Earphones Organiser

Earphones are a blessing according to me. With so much noise pollution outside, it becomes very difficult to listen and enjoy good music.

How many of you out there, have found it messy to keep your earphones..? I know most of you would have experienced this difficulty. By the time you uncurl them, you would have lost interest in listening. I faced the similar problem. That's when I decided to make these earphones organiser to simplify things.

I made the below ones long back. Had found them in one of the blogs. Somehow, I have lost the link to that blog. Will update once I find it.

From my personal experience, these are really of great use. They can be used for chargers and USB chords as well by increasing the length of the strip.

Do make them and let me know how useful it was for you people. Happy crafting..!!

A Simple Origami Birthday Card

The month of July..... I always say it as, A season of birthdays. My family has many birthdays in this month, including mine. 27th of July was my brother's birthday. It was ages since I made a card for him. So made a simple one.

Here is the card.

Wanted to keep the text simple. So didn't write much.

I made my daughter gift this to my brother. So, the text says, 'Happy birthday Mama'.

I followed a video on YouTube to make this card. The instructions in the card are simple and can be easily followed. Here's the link to the video.

BookMarks

BookMarks

Making bookmarks have always been my favourite. I started crafting with simple bookmarks since my school days. I used to make bookmarks and write some nice quotes on them. That craze of making bookmarks is still on. Yesterday, I spent some time making these simple bookmarks for my friends who love reading.

Here they are...

The space at the center in the below book marks is left blank on purpose. The owner of it can customize with a name or a pic.

Hope you people liked them. I would love to hear from you as to what you feel about them.

Happy crafting...!!

The Black Box

The Black Box...

I always gift a hand made card to my husband on new year. And for 2015, I surprised him with this black box.
This is an explosion box. But I call it black box because I didn't feel like decorating the box as it looked like a mystery box for me. Also, made my husband keep thinking as to what is in the box.

Starting from the inner most box, kept his favorite chocolates in it. The second box has pockets in it and a small note pad to write his resolutions for the year. The next box, I made it as a planner with a small calendar and place for notes. And the last one is for the photos of my cute little daughter. (DH's most favorite)

Took some good effort to make this with my 2 year old daughter around. DH loved it so much. He said, he didn't feel like writing anything on it as it may spoil it's beauty. End of it, all the efforts put in are paid off. Crafting and making husband happy are the best moments.

Do let me know how it is and suggest on improvising it. Happy reading n crafting!!
